Ok, this tutorial will show you how to make the letters of your text flash, one letter at a time. At the end, it will look like this

I will be making images to help you go through this step by step. For those who know the layout to both Photoshop and ImageReady should have no problem with this
1. While in Photoshop, create your text layer, and do the effects you would like to do.
2. Set the first letter of your text to the colour of your choice.
3. Now duplicate that layer.
4. Now on layer 2, set the first letter back to the original colour and change the 2nd letter, to the colour of your choice. Then set that layers Opacity to 0%
5. Now duplicate that layer.
6. Now on layer 3, set the 2nd letter back to the original colour and change the 3rd letter, to the colour of your choice. Then set that layers Opacity to 0%
I think you get where this is going, just keep doing this until all your letters have been changed to the colour of your choice. So all your layers should be set to 0% opacity, except for the first layer, plus have one letter on each layer a different colour.
7. Now go into ImageReady [ctrl + shift + M] If you can’t see the window with the animation layers, View > Animation, and it will appear down the bottom.
8. Set the speed you would like to letters to change colour. [I am using ‘0.2’]
9. Now duplicate the animation frame
10. You don’t have to do anything on animation frame 1, so select the new animation frame [so the 2nd one.]
11. Select layer the 1st layer of your text and set the opacity to 0%. Then select Text layer 2 [2nd letter] and set the opacity to 100%
12. Now duplicate the animation frame
13. Select animation frame 3, set text layer 2 to 0% opacity and make text layer 3 100% opacity
Again, just keep going over this to you have finished with all the letters.
14. Now save it as a .gif [Save Optimized As]
And it should look like this

Enjoy!
